TURCITE® MACHINED PARTS

M&P can make Turcite Machined Parts to your specifications.

MATERIAL DESCRIPTION
Turcite® is a self-lubricating thermoplastic bearing material manufactured by American Variseal Bearings (formerly Shamban Polymer Technologies) Group. These materials are cost effective, chemically resistant, wear resistant, and can be used in a wide range of temperatures. There are two grades of Turcite®; Turcite® A and Turcite® X.
Both grades of Turcite® are acetal-based materials and their properties and applications can be compared to Delrin AF®.
Turcite® materials are available in rod form only.

NOTABLE MATERIAL
• Self-lubricating
• Low cost
• High chemical resistance
• Moisture resistant
• Always oven annealed for stress-relief

GRADES OF TURCITE
Turcite® A
(also known as Turcite ® TA)
• Turcite® A is suitable for moderate to heavy loads at moderate speeds.
• Turcite® A performs well under vibratory and dynamic loading and is readily machinable.
• Turcite® A has higher wear resistance than Turcite® X.
• Turcite® A has a maximum continuous service temperature of 180°F (80°C).
• Turcite® A is
BLUE in color.

Turcite® X
(also known as Turcite® TX)
• Turcite® X excels in low load and high speed applications.
• Turcite® X can be easily machined, and has lower friction than Turcite® A.
• Turcite® X has minimal hygroscopic characteristics and possesses low thermal expansion properties, resulting in a structurally stable material.
• Turcite® X has a maximum continuous service temperature of 180°F (80°C).
• Turcite® X is
RED in color.
