MATERIAL DESCRIPTION Techtron® is a brand name of PPS.  Polyphenylene Sulfide (PPS) offers the broadest resistance to chemicals of any advanced engineering plastic.   M&P makes custom machined Techtron® parts to your specifications.  They have no known solvents below 392°F and are inert to steam, strong bases, fuels and acids.  PPS is ideal for precise tolerance machined components, because it has minimal moisture absorption and a very low coefficient of linear thermal expansion. NOTABLE MATERIAL FEATURES • Minimal moisture absorption • Very low coefficient of linear thermal expansion TECHTRON® PPS Techtron® PPS is made by Quadrant DSM Engineering Plastic.  Unfilled Techtron® is easily machined to close tolerances.  Techtron® PPS can be used for structural applications in corrosive environments and as a lower-temperature replacement for PEEK®. Standard Techtron® is off-white in color, but it is also available in black as a compression molded version.
