M&P sells Sap-SealŪ Caps that protect Nuts and Bolts from corrosion.
Sap-SealŪ screw-on is a patented plastic cap pre-filled (optional) with a rust inhibitor that is effortlessly applied to nuts and bolts to protect them from corrosion. Sap-SealŪ caps are made of polyethylene high-density plastic enabling the caps to withstand temperature fluctuations from -40°F up to 200°F.
Sap-SealŪ caps provide the best line of defense against corrosion where you use a nut and bolt underwater (fresh and salt), above ground and underground.
Sap-SealŪ caps stay in place for many years. This longevity is cost effective against rust and corrosion. It protects against thread damage when performing maintenance.
Sap-SealŪ caps allow the end user to forgo the purchase of stainless steel or galvanized nuts and bolts.
Sap-SealŪ caps are available in 18 different sizes starting at 1/2" all the way to 3-3/4". Any additional sizes, large or small, can be made available upon request.
Sap-SealŪ comes in two styles of caps that permanently prevent corrosion on industrial nuts and bolts.
● Sap-SealŪ Snap-On Caps are applied by utilizing a soft hammer or by handpressure allowing the bottom edge of the cap to slide under the beveled bottom of the nut. If a rust inhibitor is usedit must be applied as a separate operatertion by the end user. This style cap is also reusable. Heavy hex nuts must be used for all sizes. Bolt head covers are available for structural bolts only.
● Sap-SealŪ Screw-On Caps are applied utilizing the exposed bolt areas. A minimuum of 5 threads is required to fasten securely. These caps are available with a rust inhibitor installed in the tower portion of the cap. They are easily removed and replaced. Regular as well as hex nuts can be covered. Caps marked with an H are to be used only with heavy hex nuts. A stud bolt (threads on each end) must be used if both ends of the bolt are to be capped.
