M&P can make custom PPS Machined Parts to your specifications or drawings.

We have a plastic machine shop; PPS is one of the plastics we can use to make parts.

MATERIAL DESCRIPTION

Polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) offers the broadest resistance to chemicals of any advanced engineering plastic.
They have no known solvents below 392°F and are inert to steam, strong bases, fuels, and acids.
Machining PPS is ideal for precise tolerance components because it has minimal moisture absorption and a very low coefficient of linear thermal expansion.

NOTABLE MATERIAL FEATURES

  • Minimal moisture absorption
  • Very low coefficient of linear thermal expansion

GRADES OF PPS

RYTON® 40% Glass Reinforced PPS

Ryton®, a glass filled PPS, is the most recognized grade of PPS.
Glass filled PPS has better dimensional stability and thermal performance than Techtron® PPS and maintains its strength to above 425°F.

TECHTRON® PPS

Techtron® is the brand name for PPS.
Machining Techtron® is easily done to close tolerances.
Techtron PPS can be used for structural applications in corrosive environments and as a lower-temperature replacement for PEEK®.
Standard Techtron® is OFF-WHITE in color, but it is also available in BLACK as a compression molded version.

PPS MACHINED PARTS

M&P makes PPS Machined Parts in a completely controlled environment.

Some Examples of parts we can machine from PPS:

PPS O-rings, PPS Seats, PPS  Bushings, PPS Bearings, PPS Guide Blocks, PPS Wear Pads, PPS Washers.

Ryton® is a registered trademark of Chevron Phillips Chemical Company.

Techtron® PPS is a registered trademark of Quadrant Engineering Plastic Products.
